It’s hard to overestimate the impact this book had on mathematics, science and engineering from the time it was first published in 1964. For years it was an indefensible reference, and for some things (like Laplace transforms) it still is. Although it’s true that many of the tables have been superseded by computer generated results (either from languages such as FORTRAN or programs such as Matlab or Maple) it remains an excellent source of information.
