With all of the activity, George and Darlene decided to rest, but Terry took the opportunity to go to church and see friends. Darlene was surprised when she peeked out the window to see Terry being picked up for church by one of the Alemaran Military Intelligence agents that had been following them yesterday. This time he had his wife and children with him.
Terry was gone most of the day; however, upon her return, George was waiting for her in the lobby. “I have word from the Vidameran embassy that we have an audience with King Francis in the morning,” he said.
“So perhaps we’re making progress,” Terry observed.
“Perhaps. The Verecundans haven’t responded, though.”
